"T" Shirt Ordering Information – Council will be providing 5 "T" Shirts. Sizes will be taken at the March Troop Meeting, to be held April 3rd..
Note: The "T" Shirts referred to on this order form will be the Council issued "T" shirts. For ordering the Troop C310 supplied "T" shirts, the order will take place when the Troop Committee makes an order form available.
“Boonie Hat” or similar headwear will be supplied. The hat will be ordered at a later date. The sizing for this hat has caused no end of confusion at previous Jamborees. Not to worry, somehow everyone gets a hat that fits!

September 26 - First Monthly Troop Meeting – This was basically a Meet and Greet and informational session. Attendance was spectacular with all but one Scout there and that Scout was at a national leadership conference! There were lots of representation from the parents as well.
We started by introducing the Scoutmasters. The parents held a meeting to discuss forming a Troop Committee, fundraising ideas and what support would be needed for our troop's activities. The Scouts completed questionaires so the Scoutmasters know a little about the Scout's interests both in and out of Scouting. Each Scout had a photo taken. These photos will be compiled in an Emergency Preparedness Book that will travel with the troop. This was followed by a team building exercise so the Scouts from all of our various troops could start getting to know each other. The meeting was concluded after distribution of the fund raising patches.
October 24 - Troop Meeting – We met at a different venue as we feel our way to a permanent meeting location. The meeting started out tenuously as the Scoutmaster provided everyone with conflicting start times for the meeting. Once over that bump the Scoutmaster explained the guidelines on National's stance on the Body Mass Index (BMI) requirements required for the Jamboree. There had been a lot of concern that some Scouts from our troop would be excluded from participation. Hopefully everyone feels better knowing that no Scouts or adults in our troop are in immediate danger of being excluded due to their BMI. Monies were then collected from the fundraising patches before the adult and youth groups were divided into a Troop and a Parents Meeting.
Troop Meeting - Somehow the fear of not having enough material to fill a troop meeting is always a problem followed by meetings with barely enough time to complete what we need to do! Final photos and questionnaires were collected, photos verified, information concerning the youth leadership positions was distributed and Applications completed and accepted for those Patrol Leader Council (PLC) positions. After the paperwork was done Ben held a paper airplane building and flying event. Various competitions were held for distance, precision and aerobatics.
Parents Meeting - The troop has held its final "Parents Meeting". Concurrent with each future Troop C310 Meeting there will be a "Parents and Committee Meeting". We now have a Committee! Chaired by Jim Meade. He will be assisted by the committee listed below and by you the Parents of Troop C310. At this final Parents Meeting the Scoutmaster explained why the troop needs fundraising and what those funds provide. There was a general feeling that everyone already paid a lot of money why doesn't that money include the troop's activities including several weekend camping trips. Hopefully there is a deeper understanding of what Council does with the money we gave them.
Next was the Scoutmaster stating why we need a Committee and we need one now. That simply put is the Scoutmasters can not run the committee functions, they need to spend time with the Scouts, not the adults. Thank you to all those who volunteered to hold those Committee positions.
November 28 - Troop Meeting – This meeting was held at Augustus Lutheran our now confirmed Troop Meeting location. Fortunately the damage from Hurricane Sandy was light enough that the facility was usable. The first Committee Meeting was held and troop finances and fundraisers were discussed. monies were collected from the fundraising patch sale and Assistant Scoutmaster introduced the Aviation Merit Badge. We will not meet in December but start Jamboree Scouting in earnest in January.
December 28 - Troop Meeting – No Troop Meeting held
