Booking Flights and Rooms
For best rates, consider orbitz.com and search for package flight and hotel packages
***UPDATE*** orbitz.com seems to be showing the best rates right now. Check for "promotional code" discounts. If you are staying 7 nights, enter code "200entertain". Otherwise, consider the code "75orbitz" for 3+ nights. More to come as I find!
Airport code: CUN ; Hotel: Dreams Cancun (Cancun, Mexico)
Some useful websites to book flights
Transportation to/from Airport
You can book ground transportation through your carrier or wait to take a taxi once there. I'm not sure what the best price is; more to come.
Passports
Everyone needs a passport in order to get into and out of Mexico
http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html
Please get your passport application in far in advance as it can take some time to get them processed (it can take up to 3 months).
Tourist Card (FMM)
Tourist Card (FMM Card). This is an important document required by the Mexican government for our tourism. Don't worry about it beforehand - it is a card that is filled out at the Cancun airport.
If booked through orbitz.com with a package flight/hotel, I've verified that this fee is included in the price. Please check with your carrier if not orbitz, as this may be an additional fee.
