Dunsmore Holiday Letter

Happy Holidays! We hope that this year finds everyone healthy and happy. Our family is making an effort to be more green...or as Abby puts it "helping Mother Earth". Therefore this year I am going to send most of our Christmas greetings via email.

We have had a fun filled year. The kids are getting older and get along great most of the time. This makes our house pretty enjoyable for the majority of the time. We are still enjoying our house and getting to know new neighbors as the new houses fill in. We are lucky that our street is filled with young kids and Abby has made several friends this year.

We started the year with Amanda's 2nd birthday and now already she is almost 3! Time sure flies! Amanda is doing great at school and has really developed a fun personality. She loves all things princess as any good 2 year girl should! She keeps us laughing all the time. In the spring, her ear tubes fell out and we started the cycle of ear infections again. Then in August she had a new set of tubes put in and her adenoids removed. Since her ears have been clear, making everyone much happier.

Abby, now 6, is now in full day kindergarten and loving every minute of "real" school. She is doing really well and surprising us weekly with her new knowledge. Abby is starting to read and loves writing cards. Both girls take gymnastics classes. Abby loves doing cartwheels and Amanda does her best to follow Abby's lead.

This year we have been able to travel more. In June, we went to Lake Tippecanoe with Kathy's family for the annual Schrope Family vacation. This week was filled with swimming, boating and tubing. Amanda loved the boat and Abby even tried tubing. Uncle Alan came back from Tucson for the occassion and was adored by the kids. He even had to sit at the kids table for meals...always a kid at heart.

In August, we took our first vacation as a family. We traveled to Hatteras Island in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The kids loved the beach...well Abby loved the beach. Amanda however was scared of the waves. Who can blame her when they are loud and bigger than she is. She played happily in the sand as long as we didn't set up too close to the tide line.

Mike is completing his first full year at his new job at dunnhumby USA. His company has just been voted the best place to work in Cincinnati. For those of you who shop at a Kroger owned store, you can thank Mike's company for the wonderful coupons you get. Kathy is still working at Cincinnati Children's Hosptial.

Please help me update my files by sending me your current email and address if I don't already have them. I can be reached at kedunsmore@yahoo.com

Have a happy holiday!

Love,
Mike, Kathy, Abby and Amanda
