Hello!

If you've found this site then you have either 1.) Been invited by Kim or Heather, 2.) Been invited by a friend or family member of of Kim or Heather, or 3.) Did a Google search for some obtuse Halloween-esque  topic and found this instead, in which case we apologize and hope you find yourself entertained anyway.  Regardless, we say "Welcome!"

Who are Kim and Heather, and why does Kim's name always appear first?  Read on....

Kim and Heather both attended Bowling Green State University some time ago (we cannot specify dates as Heather still insists she is only 24 years old), became cohorts in the Creative Writing Program, and friends for life...or unlife...the verdict is still out.  Once they graduated, however, Kim and Heather were torn apart by distance and Kim's lack of technology savvie when it came to the Internet and keeping in touch with friends.  Fortunately, in 2009, Kim finally became a Facebook ghoul, and in 2010, Heather made contact.  Kim moved to the Cleveland area, and through her miniscule social networking (Heather), was able to find employment.  In return, Heather got to see Kim again.

Suffice it to say, Competitive Kim egged Hideaway Heather into a writing contest, of sorts.  They agreed to write a zombie story with very specific rules; including originality, EXACTLY 2300 words, and no cliches, to name a few....  They would then post their stories for people to read and vote on.  Of course, names would be withheld so as to minimalize potential bias....but, if you know their writing styles, you could probably figure it out.

And so, if you are at this site (and you obviously are), please feel free to read and enjoy the stories we provide for your entertainment.   Click on either  "Consumed," or "Natural" to get to the stories.  You can email Kim at jrocks_kim@yahoo.com and let her know which story you enjoyed the most.   Literary criticisms will be noted, but probably not taken seriously unless you are a publisher looking to...well, publish our work.  And as a last minute decision, no edits were made...in essence, you shall bear witness to late night writing in desperation.

Kim will post the results of this "contest" on October 31st.  If you enjoy this sort of thing, please let us know, as Kim is hoping to convince Heather to make this a quarterly activity.

By the way, Kim's name always appears first because Kim is the one developing this website.  Don't judge.  Well, ok, judge, but don't judge Kim, judge the stories.....you know what Kim means.
