Hello Family Members, The 2009 Conyers/Johnson Buffalo Family Reunion Committee welcomes you to our 12th Bi-Annual Family Celebration. Our Theme will be “Behold the Gathering”. The time has come, the date is set and the plan is already in motion. Many thanks go to everyone who contributed to the success of the 2007 Reunions.
The History Committee has been blessed with opportunity to join with the descendants of all three Johnson Brothers in Buffalo, NY in 2009. The July 2007 Conyers Johnson Family Reunion was hosted in Darien, Georgia. At the end of the Reunion, Ivan Burgos stood up and invited everyone to “Come on Down” to Buffalo, NY for the next Reunion in 2009. This Johnson connection represents Gilbert and August Johnson.
At the end of the August 2007 Johnson Family Reunion in Sumter, SC, again Ivan stood up and invited everyone to “Come on Down” to Buffalo, NY. This reunion represents the descendants of Sammy Johnson We look forward to joining the three Johnson Brother’s descendants from many states. Family Reunion Activities Fri., July 3rd - Sun., July 5th 2009
GET ACQUAINTED NIGHT On Friday, July 3, 2009, 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm we will have our “Get Acquainted Night ” at the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center Tent located behind the Ramada Inn Hotel, 2402 North Forest Rd., Getzville, NY 14068. Dinner and beverages will be served with an optional cash bar inside the hotel.
FAMILY PICNICOn Saturday, July 4, 2009, we will have our “Family Picnic” at a location to be announced later. We will all wear T-Shirts that will be included with the Registration packet.
CHURCH SERVICES On Sunday, July 5, 2009, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, we will have “Church Services” at the Ramada Inn Hotel in the “Buffalo Room”.
FAMILY BANQUETAlso on Sunday, July 5 2009, 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, we will have our “Family Banquet” at the Ellicott Creek Banquet Facility, 2545 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst, NY 14228. We ask everyone to wear your “African Attire” to this function.
HOTEL ARRANGEMENTS AND CHARGESWe chose the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center, located at 2402 North Forest Road, Getzville, NY 14068. (716) 636-7500. When calling, mention that arrangements were made for the Conyers Johnson Family Reunion room block. Reservations must be made by May 22, 2009 and cancellations must be requested within 48 hrs prior to day of arrival. Inclusions are: Continental Breakfast, on site Fitness Facility, Tennis Courts, Bike Rental, Complimentary Airport Shuttle Service, In-room Voice mail, In-room Coffeemaker, hairdryer, Iron and Ironing Board, Day Spa and Salon on property. 3:00 pm Check In and 12:00 pm Check Out. The hotel charges are $89 + tax per night for a double bedded room and $99 + tax per night for a king bedded room. Special Services are $10 extra for a roll-away bed, $3 for a crib and $10 extra for a refrigerator. Please make your reservations as early as possible because the demand for rooms is high during this holiday season.
Family Reunion Registration Information REGISTRATION COSTThe cost for 3 days (July 3rd – 5th) is all inclusive and will not be separated by day or event. The registration cost does not include hotel charges.

REGISTRATION PAYMENT OPTIONSYou may mail your full payment immediately or pay in installments. We are asking you to send ½ the total cost with the attached registration form by March 15, 2009.
