I graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with a Bachelor or Arts in Education,
math major in 2005. I just completed my second year teaching high school mathematics. I personally have always
enjoyed the challenge of thinking creatively and abstractly to study mathematics. In the past year I have been
working hard to find real life/career applications for my students whenever we reach a new topic of study. I currently

For the past two years I have taught Algebra I and Contemporary Math III at Carman-Ainsworth High School.
I started the Masters of Science in Mathematics at a distance program through Texas A&M University in the Spring of 2007. I have taken the following courses thus far:
I have been enjoying taking classes again very much.
Currently, I incorporate technology in my math classroom as much as possible. However, I am far from using technology regularly. It is my goal to eventually incorporate technology on a weekly, if not daily, basis. Some of the things I use and an example of the way in which they are used are as follows:

In Assignment 2 we will learn how to use Maple to create graphs such as the one to the right, but with animation.
