Beginning in the Summer of 2008, the Jon Sheckler group performed around the Seattle area at venues which include Egan's Ballard Jam House and the Joowanaroo Music Festival. Their unique sound can be traced to the original compositions and arrangements written by Jon Sheckler and the influence of other guitar quartets that came before them such as the Wes Montgomery Quartet. Their ambition and energy come direct from their youth. With an every growing book, the Jon Sheckler Group premiers new compositions each performance, including the award winning "Water Marks." They have been joined by Seattle veterans Mark Taylor and Chad McCollugh. Recently the JMS Group released Relativity. As their first studio album, it is comprised of seven original tunes and exudes a youthful energy so common the group's sound. A totally self produced effort, the album is not for sale at any store.
