Warts are suffered by millions of people every day and they are a very common skin complaint. The warts come from the human papillomavirus (HPV) which is easy to catch.  HPV and warts are prominent in teenagers and children as their bodies have yet to build a strong immune system towards the virus and because they usually play together which involves a lot of touching, it can spread quickly through small cuts.  Unfortunately there is no cure for the HPV virus but the actual warts themselves are pretty easy to get rid of.

There are several ways to remove warts including using a dermatologist or the services of a doctor.  They can slice off the wart with a sharp instrument (scalpel) or they can burn it by sending an electric pulse into the wart – this is called electrosurgery, but it can leave small scars.  Both methods are effective at removing warts.  Other treatments include applying creams and lotions to the wart until it dries up and falls off.  You can purchase creams over the counter or online.

If that doesn’t sound like the methods you want to use, you can also try removing warts yourself with a wart removal home remedy.  One such method is is using Apple Cider Vinegar for warts.  This has been used by many for years to remove warts  The natural acid of the vinegar penetrates the wart and over time the wart will dry up and fall off.  This method can take a few weeks before the warts are gone but it’s not as expensive as some other methods.

With Apple Cider Vinegar wart removal there are two common ways to use it to remove your warts.  The first is to simply add the vinegar to water and soak the wart with the solution.  The second method is to apply the apple cider vinegar directly to the wart by placing and taping a soaked cotton bud or tissue to the wart and leaving it overnight.  The second method is quicker than the first but may result in the wart throbbing due to the strength of the vinegar.  Over time the wart should become black and fall off.

Because the HPV virus has no cure it is possible that the warts will return once they have gone.  However, whilst your body is building its immune system to fight the virus, using apple cider vinegar wart removal is a very cost effective wart removal method.
