Registered Nurse

When I first thought about becoming a Registered

nurse was when I had my children at North

Florida Regional Medical Center. The nurses at the hopital were amazing, but another thing that I noticed was that they knew what they were doing, and they looked like they loved their job and that was most important to me because I have to love what I do. So I started researching Registered Nurses on the internet and found out more about what their job descriptions are, and nurses help patients cope with illness, family planning, delivering babies, and much more.

I feel that I would love to be a nurse because all the job oppurtunities in the nursing field there is all different types of nurses and I would never get bored with my job.

I would say that I want to start out in the E.R. just so I would have a little of everything, but of course I want to do labor and delivery . I think when I actually get in the nursing program and we do our clinical's I could get a better idea of what I really want to do. I still have a few years left I'm just going for my Associates of Science just because it's a little bit faster than an A.A. because I don't plan on going to a university at least not right now.

Being a nurse would fit my lifestyle because it's a really good salary and the benifits are amazing just my first year i'll make between 51,640 and 76,570 and I can make that just working 3/12 compressed shifts ; therefore, leaving me with lots more family time with my girls and my girls will be in kindergarden and I will be able to pick them up from school and take them on some days I will also be able to attend afterschool activites such as games and whatever else they decided to be in. I will actually be able to take care of my family and my boyfriend and I will be able to get married because we can afford it. I will love all the time this job will allow me when I'm off.

The benifits of being a nurse or amazing ; for example, just at shands hospital if you are a full time employee you get free insurance for myself and for my family and it wont be that expensive another reason they benifits are amazing is I get a retirement that means I can actually stop working an be able to support myself .

I know becoming a nurse would fit my lifesyling even though it would be a stressful job with having peoples' life in my hands but it will keep me on my toes and keep me motivated to be educated with all the new material. I feel like this will be the best opputunity for my family and I . I just need to keep up the work.
