Welcome to my Digital Portfolio.

Digital Portfolios are used for presenting what you have been doing throughout a semester/year. My name is Beatrice Angeles and I'm a senior at Sweetwater High School. This web site is about my progress throughout this semester of my Web Publishing class. I'm doing this project because it is required. Web Publishing is about designing your own Web sites and learning how to code CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) & HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language). It's very complicating at first, but then you'll get used to it once you keep doing it over and over again.

The programs I learned how to use in this class are: Macromedia Dreamweaver & Macromedia Fireworks 8. I wasn't familiar with either program at first, but I got used to Fireworks more faster because I am pretty familiar with Photoshop. It took me a couple of days to get used to Dreamweaver, but then it got simpler after I have been using it for almost everyday.

To be completely honest , I actually liked this class. It really helped me learn more about computers and about web designing. This year, I have learned so many things I have not learned before. I guess I can say I'm a "novice" when it comes to designing web sites. And being somewhat familiar with HTML and CSS coding, I have learned more things that I probably would have never learned. I think now, I can say I have improved, according to the progress I have made with the following web sites.

I'm glad I took this class this year because I discovered more things about computers and how to design web sites. I'm proud of the progress I have made in this class. And I'm also proud of the work I have done. And maybe in the future, I would want to have career in the computer/web designing field since I find the course pretty interesting. Overall, I'd like to thank Mr. Lopez for being a great teacher for helping us all learn a thing or two about computers and web design.
