Worked until midnight last night, back in at 7 AM. Cold showers, 4 1/2 rem sleep, 2 twenty minute lucid dreaming phases. That was my goal. My wife wanted to cuddle and since she was too tired for baby making I obliged her so I inevitably fell asleep half an hour early and got 5 hours of sleep instead of 4.5. Took my cold shower, which is doing awesome things for my depression. I realize that the cold feeling I always chased AFTER a hot shower was what my body was calling for not the hot shower. So twenty years of treating my depression with very hot showers and baths is reversed. IF YOU ARE DEPRESSED AND READING THIS TAKE ONLY COLD SHOWERS, UPON WAKING AND BEFORE GOING TO BED. That and eat saurkraut. The kraut will help populate good bacteria in your gut and help with Seratonin production. The cold shower (focus on the back of the neck, head, and upper shoulders) will stimulate your thyroid and fat burning and for me takes the heart cramping out of the equation for a good chunk of the day. I was doing really good this morning (with the exception of my wife and I being bummed about me suddenly having to work) until I had a cup of coffee. I've been not eating any sugar all week. Today being my anything goes day I put some in my coffee and it brought a fog onto my brain and made me feel tired and groggy. I wasn't tired after having slept the 4 1/2 hours yesterday and then my 2 naps.  The first one was a successful lucid dreaming state, the second found me interrupted by my wife calling, and the third, well, I was at my job. I locked myself in the conference room 10 minutes before the fish went on their 10 minute break. I did a check of the floor before going in and set my phone alarm and my radio in case one of them couldn't last the 10 minutes without needing me to solve a problem for them. I relaxed, but I need to get more comfortable with the environment. Didn't fall asleep but did get to that nice "flowing day dream" state. Came out of it feeling like I had rested. Going to look into meditation to see what similarities there are and if I can take anything from it. So seriously, sugar sucks. I was riding awesome on 4.5 hours sleep, felt more clear than when I get 8 or more, than BAM. The teaspoon of sugar in my coffee hit me like it would my truck engine. No good. No sugar unless I'm ready for the coma. Going to do some jumping jacks and aztecs to try to burn off the sugar and then no more is going in.

8:30 AM - Just Aztek'd my way through the administration building. Started at the President's office and got to the hallway leading to our executive break room before I heard one of my fish in there, getting a coffee. Either way, apparently the small jaunt was just what I needed. Let me say this, I fucking love Azteks. They are without a doubt my favorite exercise. They hit everything, abs, back, core, legs, shoulders, chest, it's just multi-movement overload awesomeness. I even like them better than hand stand push ups which would be my second favorite, followed by Pistols and then pull ups on my rings. The sugar is passing...that sucked..no sugar! More Azteks! Love my job. Back in my office now. Going to order some food for the fish.

6:45 PM - Today has been my first binge day. My goal: COMPLETE CALORIC OVERLOAD. For breakfast I had a sausage egg and cheese (without the bread), for lunch I had a slice of bacon pizza, a slice of vegetable pizza, and a stromboli. For dinner I just split a mini burger plate, fried calamari, and nachos with my wife and washed it down with 2 glasses of Malbec. I am about to settle in with a pint of Ben & Jerry's which must, by law, be gone before midnight. I wonder what else I can stuff in my belly before then?

A great day. Got a serious case of the craps about two hours ago but other than that I feel pretty good. I'm chalking it up to dietary changes. The cold showers are probably a bit of a shock too. My wife was non too pleased when I climbed into our bed to attempt to make a baby with her and was colder than a vampire in December. I am warm all the time now. My serotonin levels seem level. I am seeing light differently as well and feel my brain clearing. I've never done well with carbohydrates. They make me blind, make my gums bleed, and all in all make me feel like crap. Any way. Also shifting my sleep cycle to the 4 1/2 hours to reach a good REM state with two twenty minute siestas that I'll take just before I go to work and midway through my shift. I'll set my phone and do it while the fellas are on lunch break. Probably will be dragging my ass around for a bit but I'll adapt again in no time. Looking forward to gaining 2 hours of productivity and preparing for life as a dad. After adjusting to this cycle I may cut to 4 siestas and a 2 hour sleep to further prep for those early baby years. So much to do. Starting chapter 2 of C++ learning. Need to focus more on 3 hours of study for each of the languages. Will be waking at 7 AM with my wife. We will have breakfast and then I will work on programming until 11:00 when I'll have lunch. Then I'll take a siesta till 12:00. After that I'm going down to the field behind my apartment for some sprint training and body weight exercises. Wish I had a place to set up my rings. I can work out until 1:00. Do some more programming until 2:00. Eat a meal, take another nap, and then head into work.

Eating a big pot of pasta, drinking a scotch and water, setting my mission of reclamation. I weigh 250.2 pounds. I am out of shape, weaker than I once was, and getting old. Tomorrow morning marks day one. By day 30 I will weigh 220 pounds. By day 60 I will weigh 210 lbs. By day 90 I will weigh 200 lbs. By day 120 I will weigh 190 lbs and I will be finished paying off my truck loan. If I reach 190 lbs by midnight of Thursday, March 28th, I will buy my wife and I tickets to Hawaii and we will go to Hawaii as soon as she can.

By December 31st I will learn C++, Java, and 3D Game Studio. If I learn these I will purchase 3D Game Studio Pro.

DAY UPDATE:
Still the same date though 9 hours later...I slept from 3:00 AM to 10:00 AM. For breakfast I ate 2 eggs, a handful of garbanzo beans and a half dozen brussel sprouts. i sauteed the lot in two good glugs of olive oil with chili powder, red pepper, and salt. I forgot to add garlic. I drank a glass of ice water with lemon, had my coffee black, drank another glass of ice water and lemon. I did 10 push ups and 20 air squats. After I am done doing some coding I will take a cold shower and then go to work. After having injured my liver with supplements during my bodybuilding days I am excited to utilize a whole foods method of feeding.

JUST DID 3 HAND STAND PUSH UPS! I AM STILL A BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!
