Tattoo care:

Wash the area gently with mild soap and water using only your fingers. Rinse tattoo with cool water to close your pores. BLOT TATTOO DRY, DO NOT RUB OR SCRATCH IT. Apply a VERY THIN coat of antibacterial ointment (Aquaphor, A&D Oinment, or Bacitracin) at least 5 times a day. Make sure the tattoo is always moist, this will prevent a scab from forming. If a scab should form from not applying ointment DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH the tattoo. It will flake off naturally in several days. DO NOT let force of shower water spray directly onto the tattoo, DO NOT soak in a tub and avoid swimming (especially in chlorine). DO NOT TAN WHILE TATTOO IS HEALING! Your tattoo MUST be protected form the sun while healing. We recommend using a good strong sunblock after healing. Use antibacterial ointment for about 4 days, then switch to a good quality fragrance free skin moisturizer for about 2 weeks. The tattoo will remain bright, crisp, and clear if you take care of your skin. Remember your tattoo can only look as good as your skin, so continue to moisturize when needed.
