Meaningful Concepts I Learned

The first topic I think is meaningful to me is the web page design. In fact, I have wanted to create a web page since high school, but I never get a chance to do it. This class gives me a chance to learn how to create one. I think creating web pages is a fun thing to do. How amazing that only a few sets of codes could do so many things. I could create a page for myself and my family.  I dont know if it's going to impact my career in the future, but I know it will be in part of my entertainment. The second topic is about how the internet is changing the world.  I have never thought of people can shop online and look over their bank account online when I was young. I thought internet was only for studies and researches. Nowadays, people can do all sorts of thing online without going out. As what we know, we could shop online and have it delivered to our place. How great this is, but I keep thinking what if the internet broke down one day. What will happen? I just think I have to be careful with the internet, I dont want to rely on it too much. The third one is about internet netiquette. I find this extremely important. In Taiwan, there were a few crimes about this. One guy says some bad words to the others in a online game, and it turned out he was almost killed by those people. How terrible this is. Also, people really have to be extra careful what they are writing in an email, it could lead to misunderstanding so easily. My brother is a businessman, I think the reason why it always took him long to write an eamil is because he had to think about what is the best way for people to understand better. The last one is about real time communication. My girlfriend go to school at UD, OH. We do web conference almost everyday. This really helps a lot and it is totally free. I did not think this thing could be so popular when I was in Taiwan, the reason was because everyone I want to see was around me. Ever since I got here, I rely on it very much. And this is also really popular in the business world. I saw my brother doing this at home to talk to his boss over in Taiwan. This is easy to use and really make communication easier.
