Hiking and Gear For Sleeping - Tent and Sleeping Bag

So you have arrive for a great hike and therefore arrived at your hiking destination. You are about to embark on something that you will always remember probably for the rest of your life and you are looking forward to the journeys ahead. You have brought with you all your hiking and gear. However one area that sometimes get missed is your hiking and gear sleeping gear.

Your sleeping gear as part of your hiking and gear which is the topic for this post

There are two big areas of course which make up your sleeping gear with hiking and gear and they are your tent and sleeping bag. So let us look at these individually. Make not mistake these areas are really important for a good night sleep which is always needed on a hike

1. Your Tent (hiking and gear)

There are 3 big factors to consider when you purchase a tent for hiking.

Firstly  - you need to consider the weight you are carrying. Consider how big the tent needs to be depending on the size of your group and how much you really want to carry. I normally carry the tent in a group as part of our hiking and gear. My rule is that I will only carry for me plus 3 other people. If there is a fifth person then we need another tent and person carrying it. So really the weight is a "trade off" and needs to be considered very carefully.

Secondly – make sure your tent packs back into your rucksack well. Is the tent packing volume the right size for your rucksack? Will it fit OK for your hiking and gear? Not all tents will fit all rucksacks

Thirdly, consider how easy the tent for your hiking and gear is it to set up? After a long day of great, but maybe exhausting, hiking you will want to ensure that the tent was easy to put up without too many complications for choosing your sleeping hiking and gear. You should practise this at home so you are not reading instructions on the hike.
