Code Of Ethics

Analytical Report

The code of Ethics, for the most part in general explanation, pertains to matters that humans encounter in every day life, on the surface of it. It pertains to things that stem from honor, respect, truth and balance among other things. The website which I took the information from (http://ethics.iit.edu/codes/coe/inst.electrical.electronics.engineers.assoc.computing.machinery.software.engineering.html) explains the code of ethics based on eight principles with three levels from the surface to the more in depth codes pertaining to more technical aspects of this part of the industry.

If I were a professional in this industry, yes, I would agree with this code of ethics. The reason for this is that after reading through the information provided about the code of ethics from this organization, I find that some of the issues which are addressed here should be followed by businesses worldwide as well as people. Things such as this make the industry more honest and less unreliable. Likewise, when a technician or other person follows the code of ethics described here, they benefit themselves from this. The reason that I say that is obviously when someone is good they receive a good reputation therefore bringing about more business. People can be dishonest and make more money by not following some of these standards, but I strongly feel that it will not end well for them.

Yes, I feel that other professionals in this industry would agree with this code. I do not have immediate access to the opinions of professionals in the industry, but I feel that they would say that there are not enough issues addressed here, though the issues addressed here are addressed properly.

Through out this code of ethics there are things here and there in other principles which I find do not pertain to other industries. After reading through, I feel that Principle 8 has the most. Principle 8 discusses the issues regarding self, which in general covers things pertaining to the advancement of themselves as well as the industry, while at the same time, staying away from causing others to fail or be noncompliant.
