We found our first hedgehogs back in 1999, Harvey and Sabbrina even back then I knew, I was stuck.

After seeing some of the breeders out there and their ways I've decided to help the hedgehog by hopefully introducing newer blood back into the lines out there.

Did you know that they no longer allow the import or export of hedgehogs into this country? Which means that we have to keep track of lines so we can keep hedgehog healthy and around for a long time.... or change some laws.

 I think if we all push for dna work, we can get an answer to WHS (wobbly hedgehog syndrome) Genetic Disorder or Not, IT KILLS. 

We register with IHR International Hedgehog Registry, and I'm a member of IHA International Hedgehog Association. We dont breed whs animals as far as we know and if it comes up we will stop using those animals involved. There is no prof yet that says genetic disorder, but I'm playing it safe, as I hope all breeders do. I would like everyone to play  with our babies so at the right age hands on is welcomed.
