By the time you reach the age of 86, you
have done a lot of really dumb things but finally you're
running out of dumb things to do. Maybe it's time to do something that is a
little smart like passing on some of your observations that your newly
acquired wisdom says may be worth passing along.
My first observations
deal with the subject of Intelligence Quotients and what they mean to the average,
and presumably normal, person. My many years have lead me to believe that
this is a subject that is very important in our lives but, in my day at
least, was a subject that was pretty much ignored and probably for good
reason. So I have a few paragraphs for you that may be worth reading.
Religion is
another subject that seemed to lack exploration. Not that any particular
religion has not be covered and written about in detail but it seemed to me
that while more than adequate information was available on particular
religions, like Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and even all the ancient
religions, there was little coverage of the subject of religion itself. So I
try to pass on my observations for what they are worth.
Self esteem or
self image is another important item in our lives but, at least in my case,
has not been a subject that has
been adequately dealt with and written about. Since having a good self
esteem seems to contribute much to a person's overall happiness, I felt it
was a good topic to contribute to. Just click on the item to the left to
bring forward my article.
