Divorce Attorneys Mourn the Death of Gary Carter

Divorce attorneys and baseball fans all over the world are deeply saddened to learn that The Kid, the legend

Gary Carter, has lost his battle with brain cancer. The New York Mets catcher was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame in 2003 and was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer last year. Carter is an example of a good person leaving this earth too soon. Some say that God needed Carter’s soul for a reason this is why this occurred.

A Great Person

He had tried to fight the disease with the same courage and valor that he had shown on field but in the end his body gave up. The smile, the jokes, and that legendary sense of humor, however, did not leave him till the very end. Divorce attorneys take time out to remember some great moments from their hero’s baseball career.

Gary Carter: Some Glittering Moments

Perhaps most New York Mets fans remember Gary Carter’s phenomenal two out, two strike hit in the sixth game of the 1986 edition of the World Series. His hit came at a decisive moment of the game and paved the way for an incredible Mets win over the Boston Red Sox. The Mets eventually went on to win the World Series with a game 7 victory over the same team.

Numbers Really not that Remarkable

Many divorce attorneys were probably not around when Gary Carter made his sensational debut way back in 1974. But that Carter went on to become the NL Rookie of the Year is a well-documented fact. And by the time he had played five-odd seasons, he was already being hailed as one of the finest catchers in the league, a notch better than even Johnny Bench. Never the one to blow his own trumpet, Carter’s statistics say it all—324 homeruns, a career batting average of .262, 11 All-Star selections, three Gold Gloves, five Silver Sluggers, and a World Series ring to his credit. That is impressive but many prominent baseball insiders say those numbers are not good enough for the Hall of Fame.

May his soul rest in peace.
