So you are looking for a pool vacuum, yes? I know how you feel. Every year as the summer slipped away and autumn came along, my pool would tend to get twigs, leaves and allsorts of muck and sediment inside it. I had a brainwave to buy a pool cover. You might think or even know firsthand as I do now that even that isn’t enough to keep out stray itmes that just seem to miraculously gravitate toward my lovely inground outdoor pool.
So what did I have to do? Well for a number of years I was hiring a professional pool cleaner in to clean up the debris and treat the pool to sanitize and make it swimmer friendly. Thia of course is fine when money is flush and you don’t mind spending a few bucks (well more than a few bucks) to get things up to stansdard. But the bottom line is it was an expense I was not prepared to continue with. The Solution? Get a handheld pool vacuum abd do it myself. Yeah not really a major lightbulb moment but it took me a while to figure it out. I don’t think I really wanted to have to clean the pool much as I don’t really want to mow the lawn, so subconciously I was probably blocking out this easy solution but then I had my breakthrough.
So now I was going to clean the pool on my own, I had to do some reseaarch.

Well after checking out numerous online stores I found lots and lots of diferent types. It was hard to choose to be quite honest. I went for a handheld pool vacuum in the end, I needed the exercise. Beacsue I had a pool cover to keep out most of the falling leaves etc I felt like a handheld pool cleaner would do me just fine and it has. I don’t have an abundance of rubbish to clean out of my pool and just like mowing the lawn its quite therapeutic once you get going.

In terms of value I think buying a pool vacuum cleaner for home use is a wise choice. Of course you can always hire in professionals but according to reviews of many pool vacuums, the finish and cleanliness owners can achieve themselves is just as high as professional stansdard, something to ponder indeed!
