WCW notes from 1995-2001

Monday March 26th 2001, was a date that wrestling fans would never forget. On this day WCW aired the final Nitro ever from Panama City, Florida. For a company that once was the number one wrestling company in the world. WCW was sold for practically nothing to the World Wrestling Federation. The begining of the end of WCW is debated amoung many as to when it ended. Some will say the Fingerpoke of doom, others will say Starrcade 1997, others will say Vince Russo, and still others will say the fact that WCW wa sbooked so terribly.

Late last year I decided to watch all the 1999-2001 Nitros as well as the Thunders from October 1999 onwards. As time went on I decided to start making notes on them and posting them on the Pro-Wrestling Board on Gamefaqs. Shortly I decided that since it felt like a roll call of Wrestlecrap material I would post it as well on the Wrestlecrap forums. Since the Gamefaqs board deletes topics after so long of inactivity and the Wrestlecrap board needs registration I decided that I needed a personal webpage to put these notes on.

Before I begin let me say I am not doing these as a play by play recap in fact I may not mention certain matches or segments for the simple reason that they were not bad. Also my choice for witting style is watching this stuff as if it was someone's first time watching it. Also for the most part I use the "If it is on the dirt sheets then it does not exist." If I do mention backstage stuff it will be either in the opening or closing remarks and not in the actual notes.

Pay per view of the Weak
On August 15 2009 I was taking a break from WCW until fall and I decided to start a new thing to do notes on crappy pay-per-views. Each week one pay-per-view will be awarded the prestigious Pay-per-view of the Weak award,
