Ceramic printed glass is tempered safety glass to which a special paint composed of powedered glass and pigments, has been applied by the way of a rollers or a silk-screen print, spraying immediatly prior to the tempering process. During this paint becomes permantly fused onto the surface of the glass.This colour layer is more resistant to mechanical impact, ageing or temperature fluctuations. That is why it can be used also for outdoor applications. The most important single factor for the increased probability to break glass in the tempering process is the poor quality of the pre-processed glass. It is acknowledged that the edge work quality also affects the quality and mechanical strenght of the final product.
