Gitabitan Archive is an Archival cum Entertainment software on GITABITAN by Rabindra Nath Tagore. Tagore wrote 2212 songs in his lifetime which has been alphabetically arranged in Gitabitan.Gitabitan Archive is DVD based software which can be played easily by a computer.Clicking the “Icon”- a colorful window will open where 2212 songs of Gitabitan has been arranged alphabetically. On clicking any of these songs we shall get a list of artists who has sung the particular song. After clicking the name of any artist from the list the song will start playing and in the frame picture of the artist will be displayed.In the foot-note all information about the song like Category, Sub-category, Serial number, Date of creation, Age , Number of Swarabitan, Name of the Notationist, Detail of Sur/Tal & Raga will be displayed.We shall get the Lyric, Notation, Time of first recording and all other necessary information of the song by clicking respective buttons.On typing the first few alphabets (Phonetic) we can get any song of our choice top on the list.From the “Search Option” we can search a song in multiple ways. This search can be done in any way ( like Category, Sub-category, Sur/Tal, Rag, Artist, Swaralipikar , Age or combination of them) .We can hear and get all information & complete lyric of 4 ‘Nrityanatya’ & 3 ‘Geetinatya’. 86 songs of Gitanjali and 433 Brahma sangeet are listed in this Archive . 242 ‘Bhanga gan’ has been listed in this Archive, where the original song can be compared with the respective Rabindra sangeet. We can hear 9 songs & 17 recitations on Tagore’s own voice.
