Aadhaar Enrollment
The process under Aadhaar enrollment includes visiting enrollment centre, filling the enrollment form, getting demographic and biometric data captured, submitting proof of Identity and address documents, before collecting acknowledgement slip containing Enrollment ID.
Some Highlights are:
You can go to any authorized Aadhaar enrollment centre anywhere within India with your address proof.
Aadhaar enrollment is free of cost.
Photo ID cards like PAN card and govt. The ID card is permissible for identity proof.
Address Proof documents also include water, electricity, Landline Telephone bill, for last two months.
UIDAI process accepts wide range to Proof of Identity (PoI) and Proof of Address(PoA) documents.
Where there are no documents available, the resident may also take help of Introducers available at the enrollment centre. The Introducers are notified by the registrar. For further Details please contact the office of the concerned Registrar.
Certificate of Identity having photo issued by Gazetted Officers/ Tehsildar on letterhead is also accepted as PoI in case you don’t have any proof.
Three Approaches to Enrollment:
Head of Family-based
Head of Family (HoF) may introduce their family members by means of documents, which is establish the proof of relationship.
Document-Based
Submission of one valid Proof of Identity Documents and one valid proof of Proof of address.
Introducer Based
If you don’t have valid proof of Identity document and valid proof of address documents, an introducer’s service can be leveraged. An introducer is a person appointed by the registrar and should have a valid adhaar number.
When you go to the enrollment centre, Please fill your personal details within the enrollment form. Your Iris scan, Fingerprint, Photo will be taken as apart of the enrollment.
You can check the details before completing the process of verification so that no error will be found later.
You will acknowledgement slip with an enrollment number and other details captured during enrollment.
Any correction in enrollment data can be done within 96 hours of enrollment by visiting the enrollment centre with the acknowledgement slip.
Where to Enroll for Aadhaar card
Enrollment in all the states/ UTs is being covered by UIDAI and Office of the Registrar General of India. Aadhaar Enrollment activities are being Carried out exclusively by RGI along with preparation of national population Register.
