As of late my kids have been busy doing things, that don’t include me, so I have been trying to think of things to do together with them. I needed to find something that would interest them, and then again not bore me to death. Redesigning their rooms seemed like a great idea, because I love to design and my kids love to get new things. So we both win, they get their new stuff, we get to spend time together, and I get to design. Too bad I am almost bribing them into hanging out with me. I had an issue for a while with finding good stuff to change their room to, however I found a website that sells kids bedding, so now we are on the right track.
I found a great site, and it almost seemed like they had too much kids bedding. My kids like any other kids get a little ADHD when it comes to making a decision, especially when a store gives them so many different options. Their decision too a while to finalize. The final decision was the basketball bedding for my son and the funky teen bedding for my daughter, even though she’s not a teen yet.
After the decision was finally made on what kids bedding we were going to go with, we had to decide on some other things besides the bedding. We figured out what we would put on the walls and if we were going to change all of the furniture out. The kids were hard at work deciding if they wanted the room theme to match the bedding or if they really didn’t care. We were also thinking there would simply be no theme at all, and the bedding and everything else would just not match. The process was a little frustrating, since I knew what direction I wanted to go in, however I was leaving it up to the kids.
Finally we made a decision and it was pretty obvious once we received the kids bedding what we were going to do. Speaking of receiving the kids bedding, it was very fast and I was impressed with the excellent customer service. We decided to stick with the overall theme of the bedding and make the entire room match. Once we saw the cool bedding that we ordered it was pretty obvious what we were going to do. This was a cool project, my kids and I had fun, plus their rooms look much better now. And who knew, now they keep their rooms clean, but we will see how long that one lasts.
