I am strict about my health being that I am in my forties. I have had some bad experiences with nail fungus and would like to help enlighten people about the dangers of it. Enthusiasts can read further and learn a few facts that will help them keep their nails free of this unpleasant condition.

I would personally recommend that people with weak immune systems avoid places like public swimming pools and gym locker rooms. Fungus thrives in these types of environments. The bacteria needs warm, moist and dark conditions to survive. Most of the people that I met with nail fungus were working out in fitness gyms. I know that it is beneficial to stay in shape, however it is wise to pay close attention to the moisture levels and hygiene of any given facilities.

These infections are pretty common. They mostly affect people that are physically active. In other words, those that spend a lot of time walking around barefooted in facilities with less than sanitary conditions. Many seniors also suffer from nail fungus because they tend to have weak immune systems or diabetes. I had a friend who was in his fifties and always complained about how he had to keep visiting the doctor's office because he had pain in the tips of his fingers. His doctor told him that it was related to his diabetes. I certainly hope that nobody else has to endure these issues. Untreated nails in worst case scenarios could lead to amputations.

I have spent my life in and out of fitness gyms, but now I am cutting back. I have learned how unsanitary and wet conditions can lead to nail fungus. I do not want any foul smelling odors and pain coming from my nails. My job requires me to stand up for long periods of time. My advice for

nail fungus treatment  is to keep the nails dry and clip the toenails straight across.
