JAGUARS

I picked the jaguar because it’s a very unique animal. Also the Jaguar is the third-largest feline after the Tiger and the Lion. The Jaguar is a very beautiful creature and also it has a beautiful pattern coat. Jaguars and leopards are always being confused by people because they are very similar, but they are different even though they belong to the same family of cats. One reason why the jaguar IS going extinct is because of its beautiful pattern coat, so many people want it for personal things like coats and rugs. If they keep up poaching these animals there probably not going to last in the wild and they’re going to disappear in the wild and the ones in captivity are the only one that are going to make it.

Jaguar Life Span

The Jaguars avaerage life span in the wild is 13 to 15 year most of then die of old age, diseases, or they get killed by poachers in the wild. The jaguars in captivity mostly live up to 25 years because those jaguars dont have to worry about being hunted. They also get fed the food they need and most of the time they breed them in captivity to try to rebuilld there population, but in a safe place where they dont have to be stressed and they could be more friendly then aggresive towards humans or other creatures. Before the Jaguars were endanger the average killing of these animals were 18,000 a year for there soft fur coat.
