"I struggle with tasteless design but I also believe that behind tasteless design there is hidden beauty and inspiration.
I find myself drawn to things either because they have a very natural appearance and flowing lines or because they are quite kitsch or retro.
I love being able to feel textures, especially on small tactile objects.
There are a lot of kitsch craft artefacts available at the moment but very few combine materials or use found objects, so there is a gap in the market for my work.
I will fill this gap with my quirky look into the world of 'tasteless' design, by finding items that appear to be kitsch, tacky or just plain nasty and bring out their inner beauty.
