Rodgers (QB) and Lacy (RB) Likely OUT Week 16 against Buccaneers

by Jack D. Ville

The Packers loss on Sunday to the Bills cost more than just slide in the power rankings, with star quarterback Aaron Rodgers (ankle) and running back Eddie Lacy (groin) both nursing injuries that should hold them out of Sunday's matchup with the Buccaneers. Although neither player is listed on the injury report, team sources suggest that the chances of either suiting up are "slim to none."

Coach McCarthy said in press conference Tuesday morning that he was "confident that Matt (Flynn) can keep this team competitive while filling in (for Rodgers)." Although he did not confirm the key injuries, the writing is on the wall. Rodgers and Lacy have earned ESPN Fantasy Focus' "DO NOT START" label for Week 16. Look for Flynn and Starks on your league's waiver wire to fill in for Sunday, and don't expect the Packers to confirm the injuries in advance of game time.
