OUR DESIGN
At Environmental Threads, our design, called the "TRUE Winter Flannel", is a unique twist on a common item. We take a common everyday long-sleeved flannel shirt, and a crew neck style sweatshirt and combined them. It is a somewhat simple design that has just the right amount of style and versatility to give it the ability to be in every mans closet this fall/winter season.
OUR INSPIRATION
The Inspiration came to use from the fact that we, like most men, like wearing flannels in the fall/winter time but when it starts to get real cold the warmth of the flannel just isn't enough. It is true that there are heavier flannels and flannels constructed over top of sweatshirts, but we wanted a sleeker design with the same result. Also, the fact that this can be executed while also helping the environment by being sustainable is a major plus.
OUR PROCESS...(shhh it's a secret)
We begin with a 100% cotton long-sleeved flannel, and a 100% cotton crew neck sweatshirt. We then go completely "hulk mode" on it by ripping the sleeves off of both garments. Next, we let the garments get a little friendly by attaching the sleeves from the sweatshirt to the flannel. Now, we have our new, but old, re-purposed, warmer flannel-sweatshirt hybrid.
