Activities that Burn Calories: Deep Water Running
With the different types of activities that burn calories,
it’s hard to find something that’s exciting and will give you a thrill
while losing weight. One of the main reasons on why people hate working
out is because they see exercise as an obligation or a routine. A great
thing to do for exercise is to do something that gives you excitement
and fun, that way, you will be able to exercise and stick to it because
you know that there’s something to look forward to each time. A great
exercise routine is something that isn’t repetitive and something that
won’t bore you after the first few tries. A good way to incorporate your
flare for adventure in exercise is to involve nature. Nature is
ever-changing and it’s impossible to not have fun. Whether you are a
tree hugger or not, we humans are suckers for a good view and a fun time
which nature brings to the table.
A fun activity for you to try is deep water running. This particular exercise is popular for athletes due to the fact that it burns off a lot of calories if you check an activity calorie counter. It is a good way to have fun but at the same time, lose some pounds. The goal in deep water running is to wear a floatation vest or belt and then float and move as if you are running on land. This is a good way to prevent injuries as you won’t hit any rough and dangerous surfaces which you would typically find in land such as rough concrete and such. You have to keep your body afloat as you continue to perform a running motion.
The idea is to have the resistance that water
brings which makes it extra challenging for you to run. Even though the
idea of a resistance seems bad, it actually helps you because the force
that pushes you will prevent fatigue and muscle stress.
You
can also kick the exercise up a notch by use weights on your ankles and
wrists or even just carrying dumbbells underwater can do you good. It
is a good way to burn off the calories without dying from the heat of
the sun or scraping your knee on concrete. It is very refreshing,
cooling and fun at the same time. It’s always good to enjoy exercise as
it helps you stick to it and commit to what you’re doing.
