Dusk is a multiplayer game engine, written in java. Gameplay is similar to text MUDS, but completely redesigned to fit in a graphical game world.

It plays like a RPG and if added/improved upon could be called MMORPG.  If the map had more layers (using Tiled), character walking animation fixed, and a fancier GUI that would make this game more massive so hence the term "MMORPG".

I know how to run Dusk locally on Ubuntu Linux.  Thanks to Wildern for teaching me.  I got this site to attempt getting Dusk online :-]  I can't guarantee I'll be able to host Dusk.  I figured the only way to get potential developers interested is if they could see what the game is like by playing it online.

I don't know Java programming so lack the knowledge to make Dusk better :(  I'll try to learn one of these days.  Anyway there is this guy "Lou" who I managed to get in touch with in September and he says he's still interested in developing Dusk and bought Dusk's old site "dusk.wesowin.org" in-order to revive Dusk.  He actually had the Dusk forums up all of October and we talked about what he was working on implementing in Dusk and he is working on implementing all of those things I said above.  Unfortunately the Dusk forums went down the beginning of this month and I haven't herd back from him yet.  I know he is a busy guy and tends to neglect his email so I don't know if he's made any progress.  He's also working on a isometric portable game which has Dusk influence and will be like a MUD.   I'm sure he's still interested in improving Dusk because it's the project that got him interested in learning Java and making games.

My skills consist of knowledge on Dusk's scripting, pixel art graphics and content development.  I'll see if I can -if no-one else does- host Dusk myself.  Wish me luck!

Peace
Zabin
