Tiwi people are known for their incredible art skills.
Tiwi people use art in every aspect of their lives. Upon ceremonial instances art is a very important aspect. They decorate their bodys with paint as well as headress and costume.

Tiwi Art is known to be abstract and geometric in nature. It uses strong colors predominantly reds and purples. Their art is very valuable in present day. It is seen as attractive and highly collectable. There are three major Tiwi Art Centers. Two on Melville Islands (Munupi Arts and Crafts Association and Jilamara Arts and Crafts at Milikapiti.) The third is located on Bathurst Island and is called Tiwi Design at Nguiu)

Tiwi are also known for their body art. Ceremonial body paint has been a tradition of the Tiwi for thousands of years. The ceremonial gravesights are also painted when celebrated the death of a loved one.
Today Tiwi still enjoy making pottery, sculptures,and fabrics.
