Miami Dolphins |
Jake Long |
OT |
Michigan |
OT, OG, ILB, WR, QB, CB |
Currently the Dolphins have a gaping hole where a Right Tackle normally lines up. They could address this later as OT is deep this year, but Jake is head and shoulders above what would fall to them at pick 32. Jake Long imeediately buys any QB time to make plays and clears holes for runners. Vernon Carey moves to RT. Chris Long would also make sense but the Dolphins have enough bodies to man the defensive line twice deep. |

Saint Louis Rams |
Chris Long |
DE |
Virginia |
DE, OG, OLB, WR, CB, TE |
The Rams have a no brainer here with a solid play maker that fits their needs. |
3 |
Atlanta Falcons |
Matt Ryan |
QB |
Boston College |
QB, TE, DT, CB, WR |
The Falcons have a whole lot of nothing at QB and need to address the matter with this draft. They could certainly wait until round 2 and take who falls to them, but I don't think Atlanta will roll the dice with Flacco or Henne. I am not personally sold on Ryan with a pick this high, but Atlanta will get a quality player to address a glaring weakness. |

Oakland Raiders |
Darren McFadden |
RB |
Arkansas |
DT, OG, OLB, WR, CB, TE |
Glenn Dorsey or Sedrick Ellis would better address their needs at this point BUT how could you pass up having Jamarcus Russell AND Darren McFadden as playmakers in your backfield. If D-Mac can become a reliable receiver out of the backfield, Russell could REALLY make things happen. Then grab a speed receiver and really open things up. | |

New York Jets |
Vernon Gholston |
DE |
Ohio State |
DE, ILB, CB, WR, S, TE |
They have NT sewn up and they just picked up Pace and Feneca to address primary concerns. Gholston seems to provide the most bang for the buck here. |
6 |
New England Patriots |
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie |
CB |
Tennessee St. |
CB, OLB, CB, WR, S, TE |
New England had few needs to address but losing Asante Samuel creates a need at CB. As much as I hate these name abbreviations, D-Rod Cromartie is tall (for a DB) and quick and showed play making ability at the Senior Bowl. |

Baltimore Ravens |
Mike Jenkins |
CB |
South Florida |
WR, CB, QB,G, T, S |
Baltimore started to show defenseive weakness against the pass. A good coverage corner could bring back balance. |
9 |
Cincinnati Bengals |
Sedrick Ellis |
DT |
U S C |
|
Sedrick Ellis lasting this far? Tremendous pickup if this happens. |
10 |
New Orleans Saints |
Glenn Dorsey |
DT |
L S U |
|
What a difference an injury concern makes. Great athelete, hometown hero. |
11 |
Buffalo Bills |
Leodis McKelvin |
CB |
Kent State |
CB, LB, WR |
This pick starts to address their secondary rebuild. More to come in later rounds. |
12 |
Denver Broncos |
Ryan Clady |
OT |
Boise State |
OT, DT, LB, WR |
This is almost a no brainer. Clady is a solid first round pick. Huge and althletic. |
