Dorothy Joyce Dela Llana Marquez-Ardiente (aka Doyce) was born on October 28, 1982 in Candelaria, Zambales, Philippines. She is married to Sanjai Rilloraza Ardiente and a mother to Likha Alpheus. Her Interests include marine science, zoology, music, and photography.

She is currently on her 2nd year of Master in Ecological Management Program in Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and will be working on phytoplankton and its role on flocculation of sediments in estuaries for her thesis.
