As you may have heard there is an activist group trying to change our country and change our flag. We must unite against them. One of their points is that we as a country outsource too much and rely on the use of other nations to develop virtually everything we consume. What they don't take into account is all of the American made consumer products. American Apparel is a company concerned with human factors; rather than exploit cheap labor, we leverage art, design, and technology to advance our business and adopt a vertical integrated manufacturing model in order to  prove to you, our customer, and loyal American that every dollar spent goes back into our own economy.

We us a vertically integrated business model which minimizes the use of sub-contractors and offshore labor; knitting, dyeing, sewing, photography, marketing, distribution, and design all happen in our facilities in Los Angeles.  American Apparel is a leading basics brand for young adults and people of all ages. We are known for our cutting-edge advertising and product branding. Everything we touch is made in downtown LA and this has contributed to significant brand awareness and a cult status worldwide.
