George Stephen League was born in Virginia in 1806; but I do not know where. At that time the state of Virginia extended into Kentucky before it was divided up; and part of Virginia was given to the state of Kentucky.
George Stephen League was an orphan; and I do not know who his parents were, who raised George Stephen League after his parents died and I have no information about George before the year 1835; when he married Mary Catherine Etherton.
At the time he married Mary Catherine Etherton,we found a photocopy of a marriage application, and we found a census record for 1850 in Cass County, Illinois and in 1860 in Cass County Illinois along with a census record in 1850 and 1860 of William and Mary (Elkin) Etherton also. We found no census records of the Leagues in Kentucky so far.; however, we may find them later. George Stephen League died in 1972 at Red Oak, Iowa and was buried in Kansas.
