It has been proven on record that the dialyais system milks billions of dollars out of Medicare. Charging outrageous prices for items such as things that are not even needed. Lets talk about EPO !
Dialysis PCT -
Did you know that the dialysis "patient care technician" Aka a PCT does the majority of the dialysis procedure's? Its a fact! After 18 months of working on the floor preforming dialysis on patients, they are then required to become 'certified' and then also must become certified in CPR. A PCT duties include everything with the kitchen sink.
Hands on patients, hook-up and disconnect, machine set up, needle punctures and even administers Heparin. A PCT credentials is nothing more then someone that has the equivalence of a high school diploma or worse a GED! A LPN in a hopsital is not allowed to administer Heparin or even touch a patients catheter.
