One day and counting... a busy week of travels, visiting, picking up last minute things and packing and repacking! Last Sunday was a great send off and farewell. A quick visit with the folk in Enderby was great and then of course, a teary goodbye from my Zion family. The hymn "Go Make A Difference" and then a group hug was an incredible send off.

This week was busy but we had a chance to catch up with mom/dad, Reid/Kath/Kels and Ruth in Edmonton. A quick but great visit with Helen in Hanna brings us to the crazy cowtown Calgary. Off to swim lessons with Hannah and Aly and a chance to catch up with the Bentsens. Last night saw late night packing and juggling as Deb and I tried to get every last ounce accounted for. It is amazing how fast 50lbs adds up! Ready or not.... this is it.

Just over a week to go!  I continue to be overwhelmed by the donations and good wishes from everyone.  Zion has now completely filled (49 lbs) a duffle bag of school supplies.  I have started to pack and organize and shuffle things around to ensure I am within the weight restrictions on my bags.  Armstrong Elementary has a bin of goodies to bring in so will get that bag packed on Sunday.  I am excited to share this project with St. Andrew's in Enderby on Sunday morning.  From here I will sprint back to Zion to say my farewells.  We will head to Calgary after church and then on to Edmonton Monday to visit my folks and family for a few days.  Next stop Hanna to visit with Glen's mom before returning to Calgary on Friday.  That will leave a couple of days to catch up with friends in Calgary, repack and get ready for our adventure Sunday, September 28.
