Power Rankings, Week 1

A new feature for the Don't Feed the Bears league is weekly power rankings.  Every week, I will take information from the previous match-ups, put them into a spreadsheet and release the rankings.  The rankings are going to be simple. We want to see who the consistent performers are. Not the lucky teams who hit a massive point total one week, and come up sucking hind tit the next week. The rankings will be calculated based on three categories. Average points per week, total offense points (rolling season) and total defensive points (rolling season).

Before you ask, yes, the fucking kicker counts towards your offense score. And, when I say rolling season, what I mean is that if "Team A" scores 5 points on defense week one, and 10 points week two, his season total is 15. If that team has the most defensive points, he will be awarded 12 ranking points (R-Points). The formula is 12 for the highest team in the category and 1 for the worst team. I will then calc all three categories and give the rankings.

If you rank in the top 6 overall, then ideally, in the standings you should be one of the top 6 teams.  If you're not, then one would assume you've been unfortunate and faced a team that went off.  If you're in the bottom 6 of the power rankings, but top 6 in the standings, one would assume you're the lucky team that didn't score a lot of points week 1 (AZ Devil) but still won your match-up because the team you faced had a shittier week thank you.
