Intro: What's goin' on guys? So you're interested in learning to play a guitar. Great! For the past 11 years that I've been playing and learning guitar methods, I would say that it has been the most rewarding 'waste of time' I have ever pursued. Though just like everything it can get old and trying at times; the key to getting better is working through those dull times. Practice. Practice! And after you're done practicing: practice more. Whether you want to get started playing classical, jazz, blues, country, rock, or metal, acoustic or electric; you've got the basics down and you're ready for a little challenge; or you're well on your way as an advanced player and you're just in it to learn a few new tricks from another guitarist; I've got you covered. The most important thing is to have FUN and enjoy getting better. The Philosophy: Everyone has the ability to play an instrument and play well. Everyone also has their own built in strengths and weaknesses when it comes to music. A lesson plan catered to each individual's needs is the most efficient way for the student to learn. That's what the student deserves anyway. This isn't 'guitar- straight-out-of-the-box' if you will. For Students: 11/8/2008 The 'history' 'lessons' and 'getting started' sections are up. 11/4/2008 So I've had a few people interested in starting lessons. If you're one of those lucky few, I'll be posting things here on the main page letting you know what is going on in terms of things to study, helpful videos, links, etc. I've been giving guitar lessons sporadically for around 5 years now, but this is my first attempt an organized method of teaching. I thought about throwing up a quick website that way everyone has access to supplemental materials quickly and easily. The sections will pop up slowly. Give it time. |
