There are no special rules for the marking of containers when shipping to Morocco. The indication of the
net weight in kilograms and other specifications of the product may speed up the customs procedures.
Labels must be drawn up in Arabic and be provided with the country of origin.
Packaging, custom boxes and product labels must not give rise to misunderstandings about the origin of the goods. Moroccan
law prohibits the import of goods with signs or inscriptions that resemble an official Moroccan or religious sign or
inscription.
Foods
The information on the food packaging must be in French or Arabic. The following information is required:
- the name of the product;
- a list with all ingredients, in order of weight from large to small;
- net quantity;
- production date and use-by date;
- method of conservation;
- indication of the storage temperature (mandatory for meat, poultry,
- dairy, fish, ready-made meals and fruit juices, among other things);
- name and address of the producer, packer and importer;
- in some cases there are additional requirements.
