The intent of Copa Kansas is to connect, engage and network with members of the Kansas Hispanic community as well as to take the opportunity to inform and educate the community regarding a variety of opportunities within government, education and business. Copa Kansas is an event that connects our community utilizing traditions of family, fiends, y fútbol !

Copa Kansas was initiated in 2006 and is the first statewide Hispanic fútbol tournament of its kind that fields a thirty-two (32) team tournament that represents over 700 players from twenty Kansas cities. Patterned after March Madness Basketball tournament, teams are placed into 4 regions: Southwest, Northwest, Southeast, and Northeast. The first weekend beginning September 18-19, there will be a total of 3 rounds of play with the semis and championship rounds to be played the following weekend, on Sunday, September 26. The first rounds of play will be held at our regional locations i.e. Dodge City, Wichita, McPherson, and Kansas City with the semis and championship rounds to be determined based on what teams remain in the tournament.

Copa Kansas 2010 continues to mark the beginning of a new era in the Kansas Hispanic & Latino community. It is the benchmark whereby future events will be gauged and will produce a new era of community leaders and networks for our Hispanic communities and State LULAC is excited to be part of this event
