Initially Psoriasis can appear as a tiny spot on the body which can aggravate all over the body in due course of time because of application of ointment only and not taking proper treatment . If not treated in time, symptoms such as blackish discoloration of nails, hair fall, pain and swelling in joints, inability of joint movements are seen. It occurs all of a sudden and aggravates during winter season. The severity of this disease reduces during summer season. The condition can detoriate during pregnancy.
SYMPTOMS OF PSORIASIS :
Typical symptoms of Psoriasis are white silvery scales on scalp, itching, hair fall, dry lesions present behind, internal and external ear, multiple dry lesions present on localized areas or all over body, blood oozing due to itching, eczema present in armpits, beneath breast and groin region, scaling patches present on palms and soles, blackish discoloration of nails, swelling and pain in joints. Individuals may manifest partly or all of the above mentioned symptoms.

Plaque Psoriasis, Guttate Psoriasis, Pustular Psoriasis, Inverse Psoriasis and Erythrodermic Psoriasis
Plaque Psoriasis : This form of Psoriasis has no particular shape. It is mostly seen on scalp, forehead, behind ears, internal and external parts of ear, hands, feet, knees, palms, soles, umbilicus and other parts of the body.
Guttate Psoriasis : It appears in the form of tiny drops spread all over the body.
Inverse Psoriasis : It is mostly seen in armpits, beneath breasts, groin region presented by black colour with minimal scales.
Pustular Psoriasis: Small pustules are seen along the area of Psoriasis in this form.
Erythrodermic Psoriasis : This type of Psoriasis is most aggressive form of Psoriasis. This is mostly seen all over the body with total body redness, rise in body temperature and desquamation of skin. Massive shedding of skin is seen on bed after getting up in the morning or prolonged stay at one place.
Scalp Psoriasis : Psoriasis seen on scalp is known as Scalp Psoriasis.
Palmoplantor Psoriasis : Psoriasis present on palms and soles is known as Palmoplantor Psoriasis
Nail Atrophy : Delayed and incorrect treatment of Psoriasis affects nails which is known as Nail Atrophy or Nail Dystrophy .
Psoriatic Arthritis : Delayed and incorrect treatment of Psoriasis affect joints and causes Psoriatic Arthritis.In Psoriatic Arthritis, patients suffers from pain, swelling, restricted movements and deformation of joints.
