Tuesday March 17th, 2009 :: Prefuse Seventy... Three, New Albums in Oh Nine!

Guillermo Scott Herren aka Prefuse 73 has announced the next two albums of a three-album release cycle. The two newest releases are to be entitled, "Savath y Savalas" and "Diamond Watch Wrists", both coming this Spring. First he plans to release the previously announced, "Everything She Touched Turned Ampexian." He will then release with "Diamond Watch Wrists", which is a collaboration with drummer Zach Hill. Following up with "Ice Capped at Both Ends." Both will be released by the record label, "Warp." With the first one being on April 28. Then Eva Puyelo Muns and Roberto Carlos Lange, will join Herren to release the Savath y Savalas record, entitled "La Llama."

Monday March 16th, 2009 :: 2009 Rothbury Line up Announced

Rothbury is a festival held in Rothbury, MI that was first held last summer over the 4th of July weekend at Double J Ranch. Over the months however, there were speculations that it may not happen again this summer. The Double J Ranch was to be sold however the sale of the ranch has at least for the time being been held off till after the festival this year. With that being said, today marked the day of the 2009 Rothbury Line up. Come this July, Rothbury Festival will be in full effect and once again has a top notch line up and will be held over the 4th of July weekend again as well.

Thursday March 12th, 2009 :: Loyal Earth Festival - April 16-20th 2009

So this may not be completely new since some of these shows have been booked for a minute, however the fact that its collectively being called Loyal Earth Festival is news and great news at that. Being produced by Loyal Family. It is looking like the place to be for this years 4/20 weekend. If you live in the St. Louis area this is not to be missed! While it isn't your normal camping festival it does provide multiple days of music, (more than your average fest) with it being 5 days long and spread out over 2 stages!

Wednesday March 11th, 2009 :: Lotus to headline both nights of Summer Dance II
 | Lotus first played Nelson Ledges in mid summer of 2007 at a festival headlined by Ekoostik Hookah both nights called "Summer Hookah Weekend." However, last year after the owner of Nelson Ledges started a festival called Summer Dance (which some argue was created to compete with a festival called Grateful Garcia Gathering, which had recently just moved locations to Legend Valley in Ohio.) and booked EOTO to headline the first night and Lotus to headline the other. Many Lotus fans dubbed this festival as "The Lotus Family Gathering."

Wednesday March 11th, 2009 :: Sonic Bloom announces its return for 2009 w/Lineup

There was some speculation about whether or not Sonic Bloom would return this year. However the festival has now been confirmed for 2009 and has announced its initial line up with much more to come.
