">Welcome to the Chelsea, Oklahoma Police Department's home on the web. On behalf of Chief Chadwell, I would like to thank you for visiting our home on the internet. Chelsea is a small and vibrant place that’s growing with leaps and bounds. Located about 15 miles North of Claremore, and about 50 miles North East of Tulsa Oklahoma in Rogers County, on historic Route 66. Chelsea was once a booming oil town, and the home of Oklahoma’s first working oil well. Chelsea has come along way from then, but still holding on to it rich and forever loved legacy of being a good home town. The Police Department is currently made up of five full time officers, and a large amount of reserve officers. That provides emergency services to the city 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. The Police Department also has a central dispatch that dispatches and handles all communications for the City of Chelsea, City of Oologah, Town of Talala, Town of Big Cabin, Chelsea Fire Department, and Oologah – Talala EMS. The Communications Center takes all incoming calls for service. The communications center is the life line of our police department, along with joining towns. We are proud of the progress that we have made here at C.P.D, and the progress we continue to make.
