ROYAL MENTALITY

(I Kings Ch. 1)

SUBJECT: LIVING IN A MINDSET OF ROYALITY (LIKE A KING)

People in the American culture have a natural understanding of a King’s life, but few understand the true meaning of royalty.

Royal mentality involves an understanding of the Royal One, Jesus Christ

I. WHY WOULD I WANT TO LIVE AS A KING?

- Jesus Christ is the King of kings.

- Jesus Christ is my King.

- Jesus Christ has empowered the church to be His Bride.

- We are one with Christ since we are His.

- Christ has power to get things done for His Kingdom’s sake.

- Greater things than He did, we will do in His Name. Jn. 14;12

II. HOW DO I LIVE AS A KING?

- Follow the teaching of Christ.

- Operate in the anointing.

- Testimony: Prayed for a young lady (Train wreck on March 21st)

III. HOW DO I TAKE THE POSITION OF A KING?

- Declare your citizenship as the body of Christ.

- Assume your position as the temple of the Holy Ghost.

- Look for opportunity to bring Heaven and earth together in Jesus’ Name.

- On earth we simply fit into a pecking order of the natural realm events and opportunities. But when we declare on earth as it is in Heaven, the King’s anointing operates in our behalf to glorify the Kingdom of Heaven.

- In 1st Kings Chapter 1, Solomon was facing the possibility of being executed if Adonijah became king. Adonijah self appointed himself as king and he had some influential backing. However, Adonijah did not have the backing of God’s anointing upon his life. Scripture: 1st Kings 1; 28-46 Once King David (with his dying breath) pronounced Solomon king, a great noise was heard from the city of the king.

Solomon became king upon the words of King David. You have been declared royalty by Jesus Christ the king of kings.
