ResCom: Mix-Used Spaces
Topic: Interior Design
Can it be possible for a commercial space be used for residential Purposes and vice versa? This is one of the most frequently asked questions by people with concerns on their business and their living. Can it be possible?

A building or space classified as residential is one which used as a dwelling by an individual or group of individuals while commercial building or space are those which are not exempted as a farm building or does not fit within the residential building classification, these shows the difference of two different spaces, their function and specification as well. Now, going back to the question if it is possible for a commercial space to be used for residential purposes, the answer would be no ,It is not permissible to use the commercial element of the property for residential purposes and vice versa unless otherwise it is stated in the conditions attached to the grant for planning permission.

Then, a commercial space can only be used for residential purposes with regards to the planning permission. If it is permitted how you can make your space suitable for doing business and at the same time conducive for living? There are a lot of factors that you need to put into consideration but when it comes to the interior outlook of your space, normally a commercial interior designer or an interior designer with a specialization in both commercial and residential aspects do the job.

Just like other innovations, the development of Mix-Used spaces or buildings is the product of the human will to make things easier.
