Book Introduction
From a forced separation from her American fiancé , a daily commute to work and conversation with Heavenly Father developed into short stories.
During spare time the stories were typed up and shared with close family and friends. The list grew as people began sharing the stories.
It was Maggie’s future mother-in-law that began calling them, “Bus Stories”. Each day, she would inquire of her son, “Is there another story?”
The experience Maggie experienced each day, thinking it was God’s way of helping her coup, encouraged and inspired others.
It is through her mother-in-law’s encouragement, and belief of her talent of sharing, Maggie compiled and published this book
About the Author
Maggie Oaks finds her roots in truly Canadian heritage having three of the founding people groups, English, French Canadian, and First Nations, in her blood.
Growing up in Calgary, Alberta, she was always aware there was a “God”, as her maternal grandmother had shared her faith.
That awareness changed to something more concreate when a phone call came from a pastor leading her to Christ.
As her thirst to know Jesus in a deeper way grew, she became involved in bible studies, home fellowship groups and ministry trips.
In the mid 2000s she met her husband to be.
Her fiancé being an American and her a Canadian, brought complications to their living arrangements, forcing them to live in separate countries.
As she travelled to work each working day the Lord would minister to her heart with insights that would carry her through this separation.
She learned that Christian outreach can never be too small. There is always someone who needs a prayer, a listening ear or even a smile in an unfriendly world. These are truly moments to be valued.
