My idea with this promotional page is to create sites 'talking' about one only web site: bubaweb.com.
I'm Thales Jacobi and here are the reasons why we've created this page: Angelfire is a free web hosting service with FTP capabilities and fast access.
Along with many SEO tools we have developed, some research is necessary to identify what makes the rank of a site increase.
This promo page is actually a test page built to drive traffic by ourselves to ourselves.
Good idea = hard work
Two things happened so far: (1) in one month 4 people accessed this page; (2) All of bubaweb sites had a massive down in traffic since this one was created.
What I think could be the cause?
- Google recently changed the rules for indexation (millions of sites were affected, not just bubaweb)
- Google didn't like this page because there wasn't any content (don't blame them..)
- This Angelfire page don't have anything to do with my ranking problem and I'm just being paranoid (with years of web development on my back I've discovered that the paranoid ones are the ones who survive)

What to do next? This page isn't doing great and isn't driving traffic to the Bubaweb.com - which is why it exists. Should I delete it or should I carry on trying?
Well Google hasn't indexed this page yet (like is commonly seen with free hosts) and I don't think it will ever do it.
So here is my idea:
- Attract people who don't use Google
- Stuff this page with useful things for designers - free icon sets, free templates, free, free, free...
- Continue to post updates about the effectiveness of this promo site (if you are still reading this is because you are the one I want to please with this)
- The more web tools and resources Bubaweb.com generates, the more links I'll place in here (careful..)
This experiment will continue for a few more months.
