Trent Richardson

It’s been a banner year for Trent Richardson in Cleveland. Of course he’s a rookie and he has no NFL track record but even taking that into account he’s been impressive. Richardson has been as good as advertised and excepting injury he’s been a good fantasy football. He’s even been getting better as the season goes along. Richardson’s past two games have both been 100 yard days for him.

Richardson is a hard runner as everyone knows but he’s also a proficient receiver out of the back field and when you take his total yardage into account he’s got almost 800 yards. He’s going to be the battering ram for the Browns at the goal line too so he’s always the best option to score a touchdown in Cleveland. They don’t do it very often but when they do get into the red zone Richardson is the one who’s going to almost every time.

Now he’s going against the Dallas defense and there’s not much to worry about it if you own him in fantasy football leagues. Dallas has struggled all year with stopping the run and Richardson is going to be one of the best backs they’ve seen to this point. If they manage to shut down the run or if the Browns abandon the ground game he still has fantasy football value because of his receiving ability. You should never ever bench Richardson because his skill set makes him useful in every situation. Richardson has been eclipsed recently by fellow rookie phenom Doug Martin but that doesn’t mean he’s suddenly less good. Richardson will close the gap between himself and Martin as the season goes along and this Sunday will be his first step. Expect another 100 yard day from the Browns running back and at least one score.
